POU meeting Held at Manukau Board Room Building 2

Highlights for my first time on the committee were,

• Manawhenua nominees were moved and seconded onto the POU committee since the resignation of Tahuna Minhinnick and Denise Ewe moving across to Tainui MAPO.

• The POU Board Members Disclosures o Register of Interest for Nganeko and I need to be filled in.

• Register of Disclosure of Specific Interests & CMDHB Conflicts Of Interest, Gifts & Hospitality Policy for Board Members presentation and training was a real eye opener.
  The Purpose Scope Policy
  I found the above to be normal a normal procedure, but looking at the
  Participants it has a flavour of its own.

• Self Management Education by Richard Cooper and Caran Barratt – Boyes
  How to Cook a Healthy Boil Up for Whanau for Diabetes Mindful that  Makaurau Marae produced a video on Mauu! Kaa Ora Koe! Only You! Can Make It Better!

• Code of Conduct For POU Committee

  The purpose of this policy is to introduce a specific code of conduct to apply the activities of the CMDHB Board and sub-committees it is applicable to all Board members and all sub-committee members

  Following approval by the Board, this policy will be endorsed by all committee members 
  A very valuable committee when adhered to by the POU Committee members to assist Maori Health Outcomes for Whanau Hapuu Iwi and Community
